Wolverines LAN Guidelines/Statutes

Instead of posting guidelines each time we have a LAN the following has been posted for your information. This may be updated occasionally so check back.-

updated December21/2006

1. You are responsible for bringing the following:

- Computer Equipment...guaranteed spot.

- Power Bar - more options for plugging in.

- Headphones - less ambient noise.

- Extension cord - if you have one.

- Network patch cable (UTP)

- System disks - includes OS, game disks / other disks you may need.

- Monitor

2. Bring money if required to cover costs and give it to the patron at the *beginning* of the LAN.

3. If someone needs to get a hold of you bring your own cell phone as a contact number. If you cannot bring a cell than ask the patron at the LAN if you can use their number as a contact number. Personal cell is preferred.

4. No cheating at the LAN is allowed. Should you be caught with cheats you will be asked to remove them to continue play...whatever that may all involve. If you continue to use them you may be asked to leave. No refunds will be given in this situation.

5. If you are having computer difficulties and allow someone to work on your computer, either by asking or implying that you require help, and if something is damaged on your computer ( either software or hardware ) you ( the computer owner ) are held fully and 100% responsible for such damages. These damages include but are not limited to transit to and from the LAN or during setup/takedown or duration of the LAN itself. Note - No one knows your system better than you. Now, don't think that there aren't lots of people around to help if you get in a jam. But try not to depend on having everyone stop for an hour to help you get some new hardware working. We want to play too! :)

6. When coming to a Wolverine LAN you are expected to play the games listed for that LAN. This is not a time to come and use the equipment for your own purposes. Wolverine LAN's are sponsored events and time and equipment have been provided for specific games.

7. Make sure to bring your software if you need to reinstall it during the course of the LAN.

8. Cleanup of your own mess is required before you leave the premises. Please make sure all your trash has been discarded and your computer equipment gathered. Any help afterwards is always appreciated.
